The Mehta Guide to a Perfect Fit

It is always ideal to get your perfect ring size - neither too tight nor too loose.

So, we've put together these simple instructions which will guide you through measuring your ring size.

Please remember that the ring size for the fingers of your right hand always vary from the left. So, before you begin measurements, decide which hand and finger you will be wearing your ring. Also, your fingers are warmer and bigger in the evening than in the morning, so it's best to measure your ring size in the evening.

  • The best way to know what your ring size would be to use the Ring Stick which your jeweller will have. This comes with a bunch of metal rings.
  • Try on different rings available on this bunch and choose the one that fits you perfectly.
  • This ring will then be placed on the Ring Stick to give you measurements in US ring sizes as well as in corresponding inner diameter in millimetres.
  • Alternatively, you could also use any other ring that fits you well and measure it on the Ring stick.
  • For instance, US size 3 is equal to an inner diameter of approximately 14.2Omm.

Ring Stick

Don't worry if you do not have access to a Ring Stick.

Use a ring that fits you perfectly.
Measure the inner diameter of the ring.
This measurement in millimetres is your ring size.

Rings with a broad shank tend to be tighter so, depending on the pattern, we make these half to one size larger.

Bangles - The Perfect Fit

Figuring out your bangle size is pretty simple. Just follow these steps

  • Take a bangle that fits you really well.
  • Carefully measure the inner diameter of the bangle as shown in the image.
  • This measurement in inches is the size of your bangle.
  • Do keep in mind that this works only for bangles that are perfectly round and not for oval shaped bangles.
